Gaming streaming is becoming more and more popular nowadays. More people are streaming because it’s a great way to make money, but also because it’s fun. You can play your favorite games and interact with other gamers from all over the world.
Ninja is one of the biggest gaming streamers on Twitch. He has appeared on many TV shows and commercials and’s a very well-known name. As mentioned above, his rapid growth in popularity began in 2017 when he streamed with Drake, one of the biggest rappers. He has over 17 million followers on Twitch. He also streams on YouTube, but his Twitch following is much larger.

Ninja plays many games but is most well-known for Fortnite and Apex Legends. He has even appeared in some tournaments for those games.
What headset does Ninja use?
So what headset does Tyler Blevins use? He uses the BeyerDynamic DT990 Pro. It’s an excellent headset for gaming because it provides good sound quality and it’s very comfortable to wear.
Their appearance is also essential to many streamers, and the DT990 Pro looks great. The matte black finish is nice, but the gray model matches his hairstyle nicely.
The BeyerDynamic DT990 Pros are over-the-ear headphones with an open design. The bass sounds very good, but the mids and highs are also crisp.

Also, you might have noticed, but the DT990 Pros isn’t a headset (check our headphones vs. headset comparison). They don’t have a microphone, so they’re just a pair of excellent headphones. Ninja uses a standalone microphone to stream and talk to people in his chat.
Another thing worth pointing out is that the BeyerDynamic DT990 Pros aren’t gaming headphones. In reality, many gaming headsets aren’t as good as a good pair of headphones, and using them separately is better.
Finally, the DT990s have a high impedance (250 ohms), meaning you need an amp or DAC to use them. If you connect them to a regular computer audio jack, it won’t have enough power to drive them. This might be a downside for some people, but it’s not a big deal.
Tyler Blevin uses the Creative Sound Blaster X7 as his DAC/amp. It’s a class-leading headphone DAC+Amp combo with 100W power for excellent sound quality.

If getting an amp sounds too much, try getting a different pair of open-back gaming headphones like the ones mentioned here.
There’s also an 80ohm version of the DT990s, but you still need an amp to drive them adequately.
